How do telemarketers work!

Telemarketers Work Like This:

OK, so many people receive calls on a regular basis. Many of these calls are non-solicited calls. This means calls you don't have any idea why you are getting. There are a couple things you need to know if you don't know why you are getting these annoying calls.
  • You should be able to ask the person who is calling you why they are calling you, and how they got your information.
  • Regardless of how good the offer sounds, make it a point to find out who gave that company your information. If the person you are talking to does not provide you with the information, then make sure you have them removed your name from their list.
  • Companies are required to scrubbed their telephone lists against the national "do not call list". Meaning they should be able to include your name and number in that list, so nobody can solicit you any more.
  • If you are in the "Do not call list", and you are receiving calls, you can take the company's information and complaint against them with the department of agriculture and consumer services. Whoever is calling you will get penalize and fined for not keeping their data up to date with the government standards.
Remember not all companies are bad and not everyone sells your information, but there are a lot of companies out there trying to make a quick buck, and they don't follow federal standards. They are there for a reason, and with your help we can make sure we can hold them accountable.
